Lafuma’s “Rhythm Camping,” the first-ever large-scale camping event in downtown Seoul
The traditional French outdoor brand Lafuma by LF held the “Rhythm Camping” in Yongsan Family Park on September 20, which was joined by 3,000 citizens
A combination of concerts by Sung Si-kyung and Kim Tae-woo and a relaxing urban camping garnered great feedback from the audience
“Rhythm Camping” by Lafuma, which is the traditional French outdoor brand by LF (Representative Koo Bon-Keul; www.lfcorp.com), ended well with an amazing response from more than 3,000 citizens.
It started at 1 p.m. on a gorgeous autumn afternoon on September 20. Almost 3,000 citizens gathered together at the Yongsan Family Park, in which the event started off with an exciting and amusing performance. Citizens were entertained with a wide variety of events, such as the OX quiz and sweepstakes in booths.
From 2 p.m., Lafuma held a presentation that introduced new Lafuma F/W items, including the FX Duo Protec, which uses a several tilting midsole to lessen the pressure on the inner part of the knees when walking or trail walking. Dr. Simon Lucy, who led the development of the “FX Duo Protec” came all the way from Singapore to present and promote the new product.
The mood heated up with pop singers’ concert at the concert zone. In the first half part of the concert, the popular hip hop musician Beenzino and ballad singer K. Will took the stage for an hour. This was followed by Royal Pirates in which Lafuma’s new model James belongs to, and then Kim Tae-woo. The finale by Sung Si-kyung in the second half of the concert lasted for almost two hours. Lafuma played a movie that suits well the camping setting after the concert.
Lafuma gave away either a camping mat or a knee blanket, which are must-have camping gears, to all participants. Other giveaways included a mask pack by Re:NK, and snacks and beverages sponsored by CJ Pressian, Sneakers, Pringles, and Steff Hotdog.
Marketing Vice-President Lee Kwan-Supat LF said that it was the first-ever large-scale camping held in downtown Seoul. “Lafuma, which aspires a stylish outdoor look and lifestyle, will continue to host this signature event as part of its marketing activities to communicate the brand’s authenticity with consumers,” said Lee.
