On October 20, “LEONARD,” the signature brand of LF (Representative Koo Bon-Keul; www.lfcorp.com) hosted the 2015 S/S fashion show at Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt, in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, which also included a special performance.
LEONARD, which LF has been promoting since 2009, is embraced by female customers of all ages who seek glamorous and elegant style. It is a luxurious brand that covers not only apparel, but also scarves, accessories, and perfumes.
LEONARD is famous for its flowery patterns that are created by handprinting as well as for its fabrics that exhibit a combination of Western glamour and Oriental mystic and that comes in more than 20 colors. In particular, all printed works are purely handmade by artists and not influenced by any digital program.
The key theme of the 2015 S/S LEONARD fashion show was “beautiful women surrounded by flowers,” which was inspired by the 60s and the 70s. The colorful silk prints found in a wide variety of items, which LEONARD is known for, are perfected with a delicate and intricate handwork.
The collection surprised the audience with unexpected pieces, such as the oversized denim jumpsuit, bikinis, and an unusual combination of fabrics. The oversized jumpsuit worn by Korea’s top model Song Kyung-ah at the opening showed a bold mix of denim and lace, which was just enough to attract attention.
The fashion show was led by MC Son Bum-soo. Daniel Tribouillard, Chairman of LEONARD, delivered greetings, and the famous Korean pop singer In Sooni heated up the venue with a breathtaking performance.
