Lafuma launches Baekdudaegan Project II



Lafuma holds Baekdudaegan Project II to commemorate the 85th anniversary of Lafuma.
The concept of Baekdudaegan Project II is “colorful hiking” under different monthly themes.

LG Fashion’s (CEO Koo Bon Keul) Lafuma, an outdoor brand, will begin its Baekdudaegan Project II from March.

Baekdudaegan Trail Hiking is the leading project of Lafuma where participants hike along Baekdudaegan, the backbone of the Korean Peninsula. Baekdudaegan Project II was revived in 10 years to commemorate the 85th anniversary of Lafuma France.

The concept of Baekdudaegan Project II is “colorful hiking” under different themes every month while the concept of the mega hit Baekdudaegan Project in 2005 had been “challenge is remembered by color”. Baekdudaegan Project II has created hiking trails to suit different themes, such as green, love, patriotism, youth, and purity.

Baekdudaegan Project II by Lafuma, composed of 20 hiking trails, will be held once a month from March 15, 2014 to October, 2015. Participants for each theme will be selected following their motives, and opinion leaders from all walks of life in media, arts, and culture will also be invited.

A Lafuma insider said, “The project is to remind us of the true meaning of the outdoors by hiking along Baekdudaegan, the backbone of the Korean Peninsula, just like the Alps in Europe and the Rocky Mountains in the USA. We hope that this project will expand the base of a healthy and mature outdoor culture.”
